It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the 29th district for the last four years. I have been running for office for over 12 years, knocked over 60,000 doors and I have had amazing experiences meeting and getting to know so many of my neighbors, friends and supporters throughout the 29th district over that time.

I have decided to leave office and go to work for a nonprofit organization (Fair Energy Rate Action Fund) as Executive Director. One of my duties will be working from time to time in Jefferson City on making sure that utility rates don’t continue to spiral out of control. However, most of my time will be spent in Kansas City. This is something as a legislator I always believed in and fought for, so making this transition is natural.

Although this has been a very difficult decision, it is without question what is best for my family and I look forward to not only serving the 29th district but the whole state of Missouri as a strong voice for consumers by fighting to lower utility costs. Thank you all so much for the opportunity over the last four years, I truly have been blessed!

P.S. I want to especially thank my incredible wife Julie and our two sons, Hayden and Dawson for standing by my side and supporting me the last 12 years. I am blessed to have such a great family and I couldn’t have done this without them.
